This newsletter is to announce Cellini's Bench transition into the retail web site, GemLily.com. Over the last two years, it has been a joy introducing you all to the wonderful jewelry created by talented master goldsmiths discovered during family visits to Italy.
Realizing that the home show format wasn’t fitting in with the busy lives we all lead, and not wanting to give up the mission of representing master craftsmen and women whose ancient techniques are threatened today by mass production and mechanization, the idea to create a web retail site evolved. We found it to be the perfect solution to bring these sophisticated and unique jewelry designs - the ones you might find on great shopping streets like Fifth Avenue or the Via Condotti - right to your finger tips.
In wanting a name for the site that was fun, memorable and easy on the tongue, GemLily.com came to thought during a flight to Miami in June, while doodling my daughter’s name backwards and adding the Hebrew meaning of mine. After reviewing hundreds of Jewelry and Fashion sites across the web, my formation of GemLily.com began deriving aspects from the best sites: keeping the graphics clean and adding our own twist, then-making sure the photos representing the pieces are big and show detail.
Current GemLily.com featured designers include Leonardo, Nicolas Cola, and Crivelli from Italy, along with U.S. designers Raymond Mazza, Cheryl Lynn and Bora - all offering a range of 18 Karat Yellow, Rose, and White Gold, Sterling Silver, Gemstone and Diamond pieces with pricing for every budget.
