Recommended by our Highlands host, I stopped in Jannie’s gallery on a sunny Saturday morning and found a kindred spirit in Jannie. Another passionate creator and lover of all thing’s jewelry. Jannie is vibrant, bubbly, and acutely knowledgeable about jewelry. She has been making and designing jewelry for the last 40 years, starting at the polishing machine with a custom jeweler in Minnesota ( at her father’s advice to get a job, in case college didn’t work out). Twenty years later, working her way up from polisher to jeweler and designer, she bought the business from the owner and has run it since. Jannie now divides her time between her Highlands Gallery and Minnesota. If future travel plans include a visit to the Southern Appalachian mountains or Atlanta.
